MGM and the Farrelly brothers have been developing a feature remake of The Three Stooges. Please make sure there are no weapons near you before reading the following sentence because you will most likely murder anyone in eyesight after hearing the cast of the remake....
As reported in Variety today, "the Studio has set Sean Penn to play Larry, and negotiations are underway with Jim Carrey to play Curly, with the actor already making plans to gain 40 pounds to approximate the physical dimensions of Jerome "Curly" Howard. The studio is zeroing in on Benicio Del Toro to play Moe."
That's right, Sean Penn, Jim Carrey, and Benicio Del Toro playing the Three Stooges. I am now convinced that Hollywood execs really do blindfold themselves and throw darts at a board to make major decisions.
Stay tuned for the remake of Abbot and Costello starring Clay Aiken and Michael Moore. It's gonna be a good one.
