For starters, I did not, never have, and never will watch a beauty pageant no matter how desperate times have become, not that they are desperate now or anything like that. Despite my best efforts not to ever take seriously what idiots like Perez Hilton might have to say, it was quite impossible to let him slide this time. By publicly criticising Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean's response to his 'cleverly' placed question about her views on gay marriage, he stepped over the line.
In an age where the vast majority of the gay community fight with extreme dignity, courage and intelligence to further their fundamental beliefs and rights, it is despicable little farts like Hilton who actually harm their cause by forcing their over-the-top publicity seeking faux gay act upon people. Miss Prejean expressed her own belief and despite the fact that it is not what I or many others agree with, should still be respected and not ridiculed by the likes of Hilton.
It is mainly due to public frolicking and nonsense by idiots like Perez Hilton (who decided to attend Miss USA as an Ewok dressed as a piñata) that some people such as Carrie Prejean feel so appalled and afraid of the gay community and are wrongly taught and brought up to stand in the way of gay rights. It is now necessary for some of the more upstanding members of the gay community to come forward and berate this soulless windbag before he and twats alike continue to ruin their noble cause.
