AIG, American National Group, is the company that nearly took down the entire financial system in late 2008. They have received billions in bailout funds and now they are asking for more. The American taxpayers will have to pay $165 Million in Bonuses to AIG Employees. Yes, you heard that right, they are getting bonuses for their stellar work in almost crippling the global economy. I am sickened to my stomach as I even write this. So how can this be happening?
Edward M. Liddy, AIG’s new CEO said, “We cannot attract and retain the best and brightest talent to lead and staff” the company “if employees believe that their compensation is subject to continued and arbitrary adjustment by the U.S. Treasury,” he said. They need to retain the "best and the brightest"? Are you kidding me? Please patronize us and state that these are the "best and brightest". These assholes are the ones who sucked the blood out of the economy and helped bring us into a massive recession. That is an insult to every hard working American who actually has a soul.
Here is the good news. For every dollar that is handed over as a bonus, that dollar will be matched and donated to the "Kick a Crippled Child in the Nuts" foundation.
